My Proven Baby Sleep Training Method: Gentle, Personalized Coaching to Help Your Baby Sleep Fast

You’ve read the baby sleep books, felt prepared, and excitedly anticipated the peaceful nights ahead. You gently placed your baby in her crib, "drowsy but awake" (though you're not even sure what that means!), kissed her goodnight, closed the door, and sat down, ready for your first calm evening in months.

Then the crying begins. At first, you reassure yourself it’s okay—give her a minute. But as the minutes stretch into an eternity, her gentle cries turn to heartbreaking sobs. Anxiety floods your mind: Is she okay? Are you doing this right? Finally, overwhelmed by guilt and doubt, you scoop her up, rock her back to sleep, only for her to wake again as soon as you lay her back down. Frustration, exhaustion, and defeat set in. Now what?

If this sounds familiar, I want you to know that I've been exactly where you are. I’ve tried rocking, feeding, co-sleeping, and even driving aimlessly just to squeeze in a short nap. I know that sleep deprivation doesn't just make you tired; it impacts every aspect of your life, from your mental health to your relationships. As unsettling as this is, you should know that you don’t have to suffer alone.

As your sleep coach, I’m here to take you by the hand and guide you through the sleep training journey step-by-step. I offer personalized, real-time support through constant texting, clear instructions, and encouragement, ensuring you're never left guessing or stressed. My goal isn't just to get your baby sleeping better as fast as possible, but it’s also to leave you feeling confident, empowered, and fully capable of managing your baby's sleep going forward.

Here's a glimpse into my gentle, science-backed method:

Consistent Morning Wake-Up Time

Establishing a regular morning wake-up time (within 30 minutes) is crucial. This consistency regulates your baby's internal clock, stabilizes feeding schedules, encourages longer overnight sleep stretches, and simplifies the sleep training process.

Eat - Play - Sleep Routine

This structured routine breaks the feed-to-sleep habit by ensuring your baby eats immediately upon waking, allowing for longer, more restful naps and nighttime sleep. If you're breastfeeding, I guide you through techniques to ensure your baby stays awake and receives a full feeding.

Following this cycle allows your baby to be placed down awake for sleep times, promoting independent sleep and self-soothing skills. Don’t worry, this doesn't mean leaving your baby to "cry it out." Instead, we'll explore gentle soothing techniques tailored specifically to your baby’s age, temperament, and unique needs.

Consistent Bedtime

A consistent bedtime, typically 10-12 hours before morning wake-up, reinforces predictable sleep patterns. Many families I work with choose a 7 pm - 7 am schedule, but we’ll personalize this to best fit your lifestyle and preferences.

Dream Feeds (Optional)

A dream feed is a late-night feeding (usually between 9:30–10 pm) designed to align your baby's longest sleep stretch with your own bedtime. It works wonderfully for many babies, though not all respond equally. We'll try it gently, evaluate its effectiveness together, and adjust accordingly.

Personalized, Real-Time Support

My favorite part about this method is its flexibility. If something isn't working, we'll troubleshoot in real-time and adapt the plan together. You're never alone, guessing or feeling overwhelmed.

Sleep training isn’t for everyone, and that’s completely okay! But if you're feeling exhausted by conflicting advice online or overwhelmed when your baby doesn’t follow "the plan," I've got your back. Let's bring restful nights back to your family.
